GRANT PROGRAM

The Palo Verde Valley Community Improvement Fund (CIF) provide grants to provide  matching dollars that assist in securing (or leveraging) other local, state, and federal education and workforce development funds. Grant funds may only be used for projects within the Palo Verde Valley region.

If the Grant award results in a financial gain to the grantee, the proceeds are to be used to reimburse the CIF Grant fund.

The process for applying for a grant from the CIF is designed to streamline the request and obtain a decision (approval or decline) as quickly and as smoothly as possible. Regardless of the amount being requested, all grant applications will go through the following process:

  • Submit a simple Grant Application Form, either on-line, by mail, or in person describing the amount requested and the purpose for the grant.

  • This simple application form is intended to initiate the process and begin dialogue between you and the CIF. Your request will be screened by CIF Staff to determine eligibility for the Grant Program.

  • Staff will then contact you to discuss your request in detail and provide you with a checklist of any additional information that might be needed before staff can submit the request to the CIF Grant and Loan Committee.
  • Non-profit grant requests must include the following:
  • The agency\organization's governing body and name of CEO.
  • IRS federal tax exemption letter.
  • The agency's current annual income and expense budget or most recent IRS Form 990.
  • An itemized project budget (including supporting documents).
  • A resolution from the agency/organization's governing board, identifying the project and Grant Request from the PVVCIF. Upon submission the application and accompanying materials become the property of the PVVCIF and will be used as deemed appropriate, including review with other agencies, individuals and organizations.
